Kwanlin Dün First Nation

On behalf of all Kwanlin Dün First Nation citizens, I am pleased to welcome the athletes, coaches, volunteers and families from near and far to the Traditional Territory our nation shares with the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council.

For 50 years now, the Arctic Winter Games have brought people from across the circumpolar north together. This milestone is no small feat. The planning, logistics and commitment required for these games to continue year after year for five decades is truly something to celebrate.

As northerners from all around the globe, let us take notice of both our similarities and our differences. I encourage you to spend time with and learn about your fellow competitors. The memories you create at these games will last your lifetime.

Whether you have travelled down the street, across the nation, or around the world to participate in the 2020 Arctic Winter Games, we here in the Yukon are certainly glad you’ve made it. Good luck, and have fun!
