Come Join Us – Be the ‘U’ in Volunteer!

The volunteer uniforms are HERE! Anyone who completes a minimum of 12 hours during the Games will receive both of these stylish pieces. We’ve hit the 1,600 bench mark but we’re still looking for another 200 volunteers! Our office is therefore open extended hours during the month of January to assist volunteers through the process and to answer any questions that they may have. We will remain open until 7:00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and will also be open 11:00am-2:00pm on Saturdays.

Yukon is well known for hosting successful events and we can do it again when we host the 2020 Arctic Winter Games on March 15-21, 2020!

We are looking for 1800 volunteers, and we invite you to bring your enthusiasm, skills and hospitality to help create a memorable event for 2,000 youth athletes, coaches, managers, cultural performers and visitors at this inspiring, Circumpolar gathering.

The Games sport and cultural events will be hosted in and around Whitehorse, at both indoor and outdoor venues.  You will see the many options available when you register to volunteer.

Who Can Volunteer?  Youth, adults and seniors can join us.  For Yukon youth, the minimum age is 13 years of age as of January 1, 2020. For adults 19+, opportunities are available for all Yukoners as well as those who reside outside the Territory.

Why Volunteer?  Show your community spirit & pride, share your skills and abilities, learn new skills, network with friends and meet new people, have FUN, be recognized for your contribution with a nice volunteer uniform, pin and post-games thank you event.
