The Whitehorse 2020 Arctic Winter Games Host Society invites an Expression of Interest for the position of Producer to plan and execute the Cultural Program for the 2020 Arctic Winter Games.
The 2020 Arctic Winter Games will be staged in Whitehorse, Yukon on March 15 – 21, 2020 and will welcome Teams from Alaska, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Northern Alberta, Nunavik, Greenland, Russia and Yukon.
The Cultural Program consists of a week of workshops, activities and rehearsals for 72 cultural participants. The cultural program culminates in the presentation of the Cultural Gala at the Yukon Arts Centre and a rural Yukon community.
Interested individuals, groups and/or companies with experience in producing arts performances and youth oriented activities are invited to send their curriculum vitae for consideration.
The Producer will work with the Host Society to mount the Cultural Program and will collaborate with both staff and volunteers in: budget, venue, technical requirements (staging, lighting and costumes), protocol elements, scheduling, and other relevant areas.
The Host Society is committed to producing a compelling Cultural Program which celebrates the traditions and protocols of the Arctic Winter Games within required time frames and budget.
