50 Years of Volunteers
When the Arctic Winter Games are held in Whitehorse in 2020, it will mark 50 years since the first Games were held in Yellowknife.
As part of our anniversary celebrations, we’ll be sharing profiles of long-time Yukon volunteers each month. The AWG would not be possible without the thousands of volunteers who have dedicated their time over the past 50 years.
Thank you for volunteering your time!

Assignment and Scheduling have begun!
Volunteers must be approved before assignment can happen.
This means registered AND clear police screening received. The RCMP are currently processing hundreds of screening requests so your patience is requested. Each Division is doing scheduling at their own pace, so don’t panic if your friends hear something before you do. Watch your emails for messages from GEMS.pro – and make sure to check your Junk folder in case the emails ended up in there.
